You are right, you filled the beer the wrong way into the beer glass. But good try :) Next time try to hold the beerglass in your hand and hold it more diagonal :)

Take a German-English-Dictionary and just type "Bernstein"! What you get is: "Amber". That's the Colour of the beer.
