  • From the time when Ms.Garland got off of the A.T.S.F. and did this wonderful number to the point where the conductor says ' all aboard ' with the lasso around her; except for that one cut, it was a continuous film shot. I guess they had to do something to get everyone in position to be in sync with the Locomotive.

It's beautiful, it's wonderful, it's perfect. I sure do love trains, er, Judy Garland, {trains}. Thank-you for uploading this. =^.^=

  • @alectricfoxx no problem i'm glad to share great Judy numbers:)

  • Amazing to watch this knowing that they just showed Judy a stand-in walking through her choreography once and then they shot it in ONE take. This is that first and only take. When you see how complicated the blocking is it's even more impressive. BRAVO Judy!

  • You gotta love the times when the train pulling into town was a big event and everyone was there to welcome you...

  • Judys voice is Amazing just cut out all the others singing and tuned into her voice.it is Amazing. but then again those back up singers are BLOWING hard as the train whistle. and the human train voices included with hand gestures and steps..was nothing short of Amazing for that era. it shows they had Rhythm way back then..judy was Natural as she was quite the Stepper herself. so its no wonder she had no problem Stepping while not missing a Note or beat. you better sing JUDY..thats my girl 7:47-8

  • <3 Ray Bolger :)

  • what a beautiful locomotive!!

  • she knows how to make an entrance, beautiful<3

  • I adore this musical. My grandma Mattie introduced me to it when I was around 8. We used to watch every weekend I was at her house. We would sing, eat popcorn and just have great time. :)

  • After the barn raising in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, this is the greatest musical number ever filmed. Yes, Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer got the ball rolling, it was the great Kay Thompson who amplified the song into a nine-minute fantasy. All the patter in the middle is Kay's work. The music is great, and visually it is without equal.
