The remodeled hotels are great but that new logo is just terrible. It does the new standards they're trying to achieve a disservice as it just screams mediocrity and blandness. So basically, Holiday Inn has become just another hotel chain.
The rebranding to me looks very good except the new logo which is awful. Is it a gas station? Is it a pharmacy? Bland, bland, bland. IHG has no sense in brand legacy. If the whole concept succeeds, it will not be because of the horrible mistake of the "H" logo. As a HI loyalist, the new logo says nothing to me and actually makes me question if I will be getting the HI experience and tradition I have become used to and I am a Priority Club member.
