  • I have the Zendrive2 and wouldn't trade it for the world. None of my other OD's do what it can do. The tube makes it sound so incredibly musical. If there was a MosferaTWO I would totally go for it.

  • MosferaTWO as in a tube one? hehe That would be rad! And I agree...the Zen2 is probably the most amplike pedal I've played. Almost an amp in itself. :-)

  • My favorite part is when you say "nevermind,

    i kinda like that tone."

    I have a BK butler,

how would u say it compares if you have one

  • hehe Ya, I tend to think I know everything...and then I actually play through the pedals and realize I'm wrong...a lot.

I've never played a BK Butler, but I have played the Chandler Tube Driver, which is supposed to be essentially the same pedal. It's been years, though. I remember the Chandler having a ton of compression, and sounding more like a killer metal distortion rather than a blues drive. But that was through a totally different rig. It was a great pedal, though!! Cheers!!

  • @skyridden sry to disappoint, but then it wouldnt be a "mos"feratu .. the main difference of this pedal is the so called clipping stage (responsible for od breakup).. zen1 has diodes, zen2 is nearly the same pedal but tubes instead of diodes and the mosferatu has a mosfet transistor clipping stage.

sorry to bust your dreams :D

    cool comparison video btw ;)

  • Barber makes some good stuff. Great info! :-)

  • I've lately been using my Barber Tone Press (which is a compressor/boost, depending on how you use it). I sometimes have it set to pure boost, but you can blend the two features and sometimes I have it mostly boost with some sustain (compression) added.

  • :-)

    Thanks for watching!

  • hahahhaa nice nice

  • Hey. I use a Fulltone Fatboost (the really early version), to boost. Works great with the Zen's and the Mosferatu. Doesn't change youe tone, just boosts it, but it also has a lot of presence, which I feel like other boosts tend to be lacking. Also, the Xotic RC Booster is great...as is the ZVex SHO. :-)
