@kriSongs Whenever I see such gorgeous gowns and then what I am wearing, I want to swap clothes. Of course I would need a corset and that may be a good thing. I would finally stand up straight and not lean over to pick things up.

@FleetStreetNightmare one can start inexpensively and you can start with simple sewing skills - i am not really skilled yet and am starting (with lots of encouragment from others) to make mine

@kriSongs then by all means DO so!! :) == they are fun to wear and if made period correctly (as opposed to just a costume) they are MUCH more comfortable and easy to wear. depending on what you want you dont even have spend a fortune and still be beautiful. I think that they are fun as well. there is LOTS of patterns and Even more people who KNOW how to do this.. so have FUN and go for it!
