"I love this song he wrote for her--- one of the many songs he wrote about/for her"
love this song, too, but it was actually written and produced by R. Kelly. Released: 2001
I love the part where it sounds like a corus of men singing in the background:
If you go, I won't forget you girl
Can't you see that you will always be
Even though I had to let you go
...it really gives it that R&B feel

When asked what inspired the song, Speechless:
"I was with these kids and we had big water-balloon fight, and I was so happy after the fight that I ran upstairs in their house and wrote Speechless. Thats what inspired the song. I hate to say that because its such a romantic song. But, it was the fight that did it. Id had fun, I was happy, and I wrote it in its entirety right there. I felt it would be good enough for the album.ts about having fun, it really is"
Sweet!

"YES, I BELIEVE THIS SONG WAS FOR LMP. IT'S VERY HEARTBREAKING, THEY DON'T END UP TOGETHER IN THE END. I REALLY LOVE TO SEE MICHAEL HAPPY."
Hi megakingmj - don't know if you meant to reply to someone else, but your above post was in my inbox and I have I am replying to you, in two parts.
I never said MJ wrote this song for LMP!
It was actually Written and composed by Michael Jackson, Teddy Riley, Richard Carlton Stites & Reed Vertelney . MJ wouldn't need to –

2 – have anyone else involved with a song that is straight from his heart, anyway.
Michael only wrote a few solo songs on the album & 2 were dedicated to kids & also *missing kids. The album was actually dedicated to a 15 year old Afro-Norwegian boy, Benjamin Hermansen who was stabbed to death by a group of neo-Nazis in Oslo, Norway, 2001 & also to MJ’s grandmother.
Research it!
There are too many assumptions being made by others about the songs on this album. Hope this information helps.

@tonm08 Diana was a mother figure to him early on in his career. When he was away from his real mom, he staid with Diana while in the recording studio. In his book he explains his close relationship to Diana and how he had a crush on her early on in his life. He had such a innocent and childlike honesty about him. He just couldn't boldface lie to his fans about the real deal the base core of he is.

This is a beautiful video.

Yea, thought of that back then, as DR had just broken his heart by marrying Arne Naess & this song hits the charts less than a year later. DR & a few others were possible candidates for the duo song, but MJ said it wasn't a good idea to duo with DR at the time-whatever was really going on. was in Taraborelli's book. Also, MJ quotes: DR was his first love: Took him a "hell of a long time to get over her" & other things about her. Then inclues her in will. But who really knows?
