This deal is ridiculous. Good for Chad and Steve. Bad for the space. It's now officially overhyped as YouTube manages to sell at probably 1000 times earnings. Here are the top 10 reasons this deal is bogus

has been trusted as the end all be all since the

#10.Google's core business has expanded way beyond

being a search company into many other markets. I.E.

google maps, gmail, froogle, their advertising co-op

programs... i.e. you are an idiot

#9.Google was getting their assed kicked by YouTube

in terms of exclusive video and hits therefor the

buyout is intelligent in terms of advertising.

#8.Maybe will not last but will net an ass load of

money in the short term in copyrite infringement suits

I found this quite interesting as to how you thought and videoed here on Youtube back then, Nalts. My biggest regret is that I wasn't viewing videos here back then, and had little knowlege of Youtube. I feel at times as though I missed the 'golden era' of Youtube, and that it was a much smaller, friendlier, and a lot more fun place then, than it is now.
