@Ladygagasg24 denouement: it's from the french. I means the climax or final part of a play, narrative, etc where all parts of the plot are drawn together and everything is explained. So in a detective story, when the detective brings everybody to one room and reveals who the murderer was, that's the denouement. Russell is using it mockingly to say that "from its conception to its denouement" i.e. "from start to finish" the newspaper article is nonsense.
