TheKienitz: As a guitarist, I'd certainly agree that Urban is underrated...of course, I can't stand his two newest albums (the songs I've heard from them, that is). I like his older stuff much more--when he still had a nice blend of country and rock...now, he just plays pop (except for the duet him and Brad Paisley did together--that was more along the lines of rock!).

Supermonkey22: Urban actually did an album with the Ranch in 2004 I think it was. A lot of people mistake the album for being called IN THE RANCH and being one of Urban's solo albums since it says "Keith Urban in the Ranch" on the cover...it's one of his best albums, musically speaking, though and much better than his two newest albums, like all of his older stuff!

Neo2906 the telecaster he is playing is the CS 40th anniversary, reputed to be the most sought after mainstream telecaster in existense. Only 100 ever made in that colour and he is reputed to own quite a collection of them.

I am a huge fan of great guitar work starting in 79 at the age of 9 when I discovered Schon. Since then I've cut my teeth on the likes of Rhoads, Vai, Bettencourt, Vaughn, Gilbert to name but a few. Think I got a fair knowledge of what makes an amazing axe man. The axe work was what led me to Keith who is easily up there with those guys, seen him 12 times, one of the best players in any genre and along with Paisley (another child progidy like Keith) is easily the best player in Country music.

i'm a guitar player, and trust me there's a huge difference in chicken picking and speed metal. Both take skill, but what keith does takes technic that the guitarist from dragonforce sure as hell couldn't pull off.
