  • People hate these guys have left their sense of humour a few centuries back. It's almost all tongue in cheek so take it for what it is and enjoy it.

  • It's OK hate a version of a song, but not to hate people for playing someone else's music! The Clash couldn't have done "Police & thieves" if Junior Reid had your aggressive, over-protective attitude to cover versions. The Clash showed that people from different backgrounds don't have to hate & fear each other, but can combine forces. This included playing each other's music in their own way. P.S. I'd like to hear it played by a highland pipe band, in a tiny room full of people pogoing.

  • @mariusdire11 I get that kind of humour, and per definition I shouldn't have a sense of humour as a German.

  • I agree that it's a great, fun cover. I agree that Joe Strummer would have loved it. But, kiddies, Mick Jones sang it. Peace.
