@sideslide23 Quit dissing the prius its a good car if you need a reliable car (also the batteries last 10-15 years) but yes for a commutter a motorcycle is ideal. Also cars do cause a good ammount of greenhouse gasses along with industries.

@Tumenihobbies as long your silverado isn't a hybrid than your good. I wouldn't buy any hybrid cars unless its a Prius V other hybrid cars like the Tahoe and escape doesn't work.

Coal makes electricty.. we have more 300 years of coal..and hybrids dont even need electrity.. it uses the gas to give itself electrity to burn less gas..

Do us a Favor, If you can't afford a hybrid car, go buy a yamaha Motorcycke for $5000, they get better gas mileage than they do on hybrid, why, because there lighter you can push it and even lift them, my friend has a Yamaha Motorcycle and he's getting 65 MPG, he takes it to work every day unless its raining or its too hot, he would take it to work every day.
