  • this statement seems bizarre in a time when our economy is supposed to be struggling.

    a possible explanation for why there is so much money available for oil job salaries is that this economic flow is balanced by an economic expenditure of equally vast proportions.

    an expenditure which in fact is so large that only the american people as a whole could support it through their tax contribution.

    the question really is, does the majority of americans morally support and desire this expenditure?

  • an equally valid alternative is to reduce our dependency on oil. better now since we will eventually have to.

    many renewable alternatives exist and we have this choice. if the ecology becomes damaged, we will not necessarily still have a choice that allows it to exist the way it once was.
