i think the 257.zero refers to a number station....If you're not sure what number stations are then look them up....They are very interesting.

Yeah in fact this track samples the E5 CIA number station that was discovered a while ago.

Yes the voice used here is taken from a "spy numbers" station that can be found all over the shortwave radio spectrum, and as mentioned here is from the CIA. Other musicians have used number stations in their music over the years, glad to see Moby did it as well.

If you're interested in spy numbers stations, check out the CD "The Conet Project", it's a 4 CD set of recorded spy numbers stations recorded mainly in the early 90's. Also, check do a search for "UVB 76"...
