And re "you just have to be 'quite'" (guess you mean quiet) - the people in the vid are NOT. They are freaking LOUD! And the organizing lady even tells them to "cheer" the hamsters on.
-
@Guineapigchannel: *I* did my research - and found that there's an assoc. of VETS for crying out loud that says this is inhumane! If you rather want to trust a manufacturer...
-
@TheFeldhamster DUDE! ITS FINE JUST BE CAREFUL DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GO COMMENTING ON THINGS YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU JUST HAVE TO BE QUITE AND CAREFULL WUTS WITH ALL THEESE SH!TTY CMMENTS GAWD!
-
@StephanOtte82 ok look theb all has to b the right size and you have to make sure your with it and dont scare it ok! some people ar iresponsible with them but really i dont mean to be mean but your right in some cases but in my case thats crap!
-
@ALXDO1 no there not abuse you just cant yell and scream around them and the ball has to be the right size ok go do your research before you start saying false comments
-
...and for the rest I agree with StephanOtte82. The Tierärztliche Vereinigung für Tierschutz (~ Association of Veterinarians for the Humane Treatment of Animals) considers raceballs abuse and I'd rather trust an association of vets than a manufacturer. Woolly bedding (Hamsterwatte) is "made for hamsters" and claimed to be safe by manufacturers, too, and we all know how "safe" that is (namely, not at all)!
-
Uhhh, this is abuse. Even if you leave aside the ball issue - It's during the day, extremely brightly lit and it's hellishly loud. Hamsters are nocturnal/crepuscular animals whose natural instinct is to flee. Should be pretty obvious for anybody that something like this will be only a lot of stress for a hamster and NOT fun.
-
@TheGiuneaPigChannel1 I agree to StephanOtte82 in every word he wrote! Those balls are animal abuse, moreover in such a situation when people are standing around the pets shouting and yelling as if they were nuts. Those people better should play rc-car races, than keeping an animal.
-
@TheGiuneaPigChannel1 It's interesting to see how manufacturers and commercials can manipulate people and restrict their point of view. "Funny" and "Safety" are defined by the owner, not by the animal. Please google images: "species-appropriate hamster". There are so many other ways to have fun with a hamster. I don't want to offend anyone - I'M SORRY if I did so. I just want you to rethink it, because No. 1,2,3 from my 1st comment are (quite unknown) facts.
-

Actually, you misinforme fool, FLEAS spread the plague, and not just rats. Cats, dogs, anything with fur spread it. And rats were constantly cleaning themselves- rats HATE to be dirty, it gets them neurotic. Rats clean themselves much more than hampsters, so how about studying before you open up your fat mouth?
