Cops & Civilian Injured in Reported Police Chase- Middleboro, MA (09-28-11)

Police examine an accident scene on Smith Street in Middleboro, Massachusetts Wednesday ( 09-28-11 ) afternoon. According to a Middleboro fire official at the scene, three plain clothes Middleboro police officers and one civilian were injured in the accident which was believed to include an unmarked police cruiser and civilian vehicle. According to several people at the scene, there are unconfirmed reports that the police were chasing a breaking and entering suspect before the accident. The driver of the accident was believed to be seriously injured and was taken by MedFlight helicopter from the accident scene. The three officers injured (who reportedly suffered minor injuries) were transported local hospitals- including Jordan Hospital . State Police accident reconstruction teams were called to the scene near Route 28 and Smith Street to investigate.
