The beginning is a clip of a line of recycling carts I just had to film while passing through. Dont think that driver likes me filming much at all but I had to LOL. And after the first clip you can really hear the difference between the old and new trucks and really appriciate the old ones deep souns. Well anyway, I went out and found 2638 again the next day hoping he was in the same truck because it was such an awesome thing for me to see this many lids being flipped. Brings back so many memories. Thanks again to the driver!

  • Um, ewww. I always thought these had a sort of high pitch, but seeing that recycle truck, that one's sound was just annoying!! No wonder the driver isn't friendly. Why'd he skip bins on that first shot? To be honest, I didn't see much of a difference in the sounds before, but now it's glaring obvious haha. They each have that whining sort of higher tone, but the 2638 has it with a deeper pitch in the background, I'm sure it's better watching in person. Thanks for the footage!!! Another fav

  • @Trashman242 Yea the older ones are definatly more fun to watch and nice to hear. They will all be gone soon though. 2011 there getting new trucks. Not sure if there getting rid of them in the beginning or end of 2011 however.

  • Rapid Rails do tend to destroy most 90-ish gallon carts. Wonder if 300 grippers would work.

  • @RainbowDisposal 300 gallon grippers are even more brutal on 90 gals ironically. Watch Jason6689s old rapid rail videos from long ago. It punches holes right through his rehrig. (shocking i kno) NAAAT! but they are very mean grippers lol. The 300 gal grippers pinch the 60 gal ssi in Whittier. I cant imagine what they would do to 90 gals... They s there ALL Roto and RMI. Consolidated buys 90 Roto for that because they know injection of any kind will be limited in their lifespan. Even the ssi.

  • muy bueno senor mike lol

  • 1:08 rapid rail in the backround!

  • @3amrepmike3 Haha, yup, just like Turn-Key's, except they went out of business.

  • @3amrepmike3 your welcome

  • @KennysTrucks lol yup thats why they should have stayed with Roto. 27 years old and 90% are still strong!

  • @tharealsteven I LOVE lid stops. They have had them in my city since I was a child and my area is one of very few in california with lid stops so its pretty cool. The lid stops making the lids flip back shut is what brings back so many memories from when I was a kid. They used to do that every single week.
