A Jobromance Chapter 8

This is a Joe/Becca chapter. Everyone else is coming in again...soon. And so is more drama so, brace yourselves!:)

Joe: It’s me. Can I come in.
Becca: *Sobbing* Go away!
Joe: *worried* Becca, what’s wrong?
Becca: Go away! I don’t wanna talk to you!
Joe: Please let me in!
*Joe stays at the door for a few more minutes before going into the boy’s room and knocking on the connecting door. Becca refuses to open it and he eventually gives up. A little while later, everyone else comes up. When Ashley and Ali come in, they rush to Becca*
Ali: Becca, what’s wrong??
Ashley: What did Joe do? We will kill him.
Ali: It can be arranged.
Becca: *laughs a little* Ali, that’s my line.
Ali: *Sighs* So, what’d he do?
Becca: Well, I forgot my purse so I had to get it.
Ashley: Yeah, we know that.
Becca: And then I went to the party and I saw Joe and he was kissing some girl.
Ali: *gaping* He didn’t!
Ashley: *Whispering to Ali* Well, he wasn’t with us…
Becca: I can hear you. And, it’s okay. I don’t wanna talk about it.
Ashley: Okay…

*In the boys room*
Nick: Joe, what’s up?
Joe: Becca. She’s all mad at me for no reason.
Kevin: What?
Joe: Well, she forgot her purse and said she’d meet me at the party and then she didn’t come down so I went up to check on her. I knocked on the door but she wouldn’t open it. She said she didn’t want to talk to me and to go away. She sounded like she was crying.
Nick: You didn’t do ANYTHING?
Joe: No! I was at the party, getting drinks, and I sat at a table but she never came.
Kevin: Well, you better find out what you did-
Joe: I didn’t do anything!
Kevin: Okay, find out what you ‘didn’t do’ and say sorry for it.
Joe: Yeah…
Nick: Look, it’s late and I’m gonna try to get some sleep.
Kevin: Me too.
Joe: Me too.

*The next morning, Ashley and Alison go swimming with Kevin and Nick. Joe stays so he can talk to Becca.*
Joe: *Knocking on the connecting door* Becca?
Becca: *Angry* What?
Joe: Can I talk to you?
Becca: You already are.
Joe: Can I come in?
Becca: *calmly* No.
Joe: Becca, you have to talk to me. We’re gonna be here for two weeks together. Just tell me what I did.
Becca: You know what you did!
Joe: Can I please come in???
Becca: *Walks over and pulls the door open.* Yes??
Joe: *Stepping in and closing the door* I don’t know what I did wrong, so I’m just gonna tell you what happened last night.
Becca: I already know.
Joe: Well, I’m telling you anyway. You came back here to get your purse and I went downstairs to the party. I got us drinks and sat down at a table. You never came down so I came up.
Becca: *sarcastically* Yeah, that’s what you did.
Joe: *aggravated* Yeah, that’s what I did.
Becca: So, who is she?
Joe: *confused* What?
Becca: *Still angry* It’s fine. You can tell me. I mean, there’s no point in not.
Joe: What are you talking about????
Becca: Gosh , Joe! Stop pretending like you don’t know.
Joe: I’m not the one pretending.
Becca: Who is she?
Joe: Who is who?
Becca: The girl you were kissing.
Joe: What girl??
Becca: *Stands up to leave until realizing that she’s in her room* Get out.
Joe: Becca, please, tell me what your talking about.
Becca: I’m talking about you getting out.
*Joe gets up and walks out. Becca angrily lays back down but is already too awake to go back to sleep.*

That was a depressing chapter to write. It took me a long time because I was watching the Olympics while writing it. You know, those gymnast girls are really small...and strong:)
