@drshrinivas he could have done it for free but the question is then this money goes to whose pocket? we never know.. also it is not a big issue he could charge even more b coz he has that much of demand in india as well as out of india too. don't you know rahman contribute a lot to charity works without publicity. sincerely he worked hard for this song but it isn't catchy for some people that is not his fault.. BTW still it is a good song.

Shakira took millions for a stupid waka waka song for world cup song...what nonsense are you guys taking. AR Rahman deserves praise...this song is fantastic! Make sure you have an acoustic system...then you will hear our Indian king's magic!

people make mistakes, and his cwg song might have been below his performance, but guys give him the credit for the song.
leave the money aside.

Its a beautiful song, and well done RAHMAN. Impregnated with the essence of each one of the Indian folk music, exhibits great spirit. ]
I believe, certainly everything has scope for improvement but to compare the song to anything else is injustice.

At one stage we all felt that Rehman is a true son of this soil for getting oscar award. But that really doesn't stand for long time. If he really feels a true son of India he would have contributed his work free of cost by supporting our nation conducting such a big event. If he really contributed his work freely all the indians and the whole world would have appreciated just wiping all the controversies against the CWG committee. He would have made our nation proud but he has not done that.
