  • What keyboard did you use for the keyboard 2? Do you remember the make and model?

  • @gmyers34 I honestly couldn't even give you a guess on that. I think we just used a keyboard from the music department at ASU....but the only sounds you need to have are the basics like trumpet, violin, etc.... you can actually look on MTI at the scores available for Assassins and they have a list of all the instruments

  • I read that the pit in this video is only two keyboards and percussion. Are all of the instrumental sounds coming from a keyboard?

  • @lcmyersmtbc

yes that is true! Keyboard 1 is pretty much doing all the piano parts and keyboard 2 (my dad!) is doing all the "other instruments"

  • great show! you need mor of pit...

  • this was actually a student production, so we had to go the 3 piece non-paid orchestra route. Actually, in the original off broadway production of this show, they used a 3 piece as well (although I'm sure they got paid!) We had one rehearsal accompanist and then 3 days before opening my dad flew in from Canada to play keyboard 2 and we found a local drummer who was kind enough to add on. All that considered, I was thankful for the final product! :o)

  • The Proprietor reminds me of the Emcee from Cabaret. I'm not sure I like it...

  • this was amazing! the only thing that irked me was the proprietor was a little off key whenever he started to sing. but he always got himself back on.

  • Very Creative -- I was Booth in th PA premiere. I like the seductive girls-- the carnival guy has great expression -- it's a hard score to sing, I think he nails it....oops, Balladeer loses it in the little clip at the end.

  • Your Guiteau is really wonderful! I first came across this production via the Ballad of Guiteau video, and I really enjoyed his performance. Booth also really impressed me. But I keep being sad that your Balladeer isn't NPH. Sorry, he's really great... but I've kind of been spoiled with mister Neil Patrick Harris...

  • Your propetier is so fun to watch. So slimy and kinda smooth. Persuasive, yet unnerving. Great.

  • Why is the Proprietor the M.C. from Cabaret?

  • Pretty amazing with such a small pit I feel that unworthy of your love needs that sax solo but im biast with that lol amazing pit job

  • This opening seems a cross between Cabaret and Rocky Horror..not sure either is good. Also, there is humor, but not in the way you presented it. Good acting and singing otherwise. Just not hip on the choices the director made.
