Jim "Father Of The Year" Lampley plays company man, hides behind Foreman, plugs upcoming shows, and commentates on Bowe-Golata riot for almost 20 minutes before attempting to locate his 16 year old daughter among the chaos and violence.
UPDATE: It was late Wednesday afternoon that the HBO boxing commentator was arrested in Encinitas, CA on suspicion of three charges of domestic abuse.
An investigative team reportedly made the arrest because of previous complaints against the sportscaster. According to the San Diego Sheriff's station, Lampley was charged with suspicion of domestic violence, violating a restraining order and dissuading a witness.
He was later released on $35,500 bail.
The woman at the center of the charges is former Miss California CANDICE SANDERS. The 29-year-old beauty appeared in court Thursday during a restraining order hearing against Lampley. The hearing was held to determine whether to extend a restraining order that was issued on January 2.
In court documents she filed to obtain that restraining order, Sanders claims Lampley grabbed her and threw her against a wall, and then another before throwing her against a door, after which she collapsed. Sanders also claims that she suffered head, neck and back injuries.
However, the papers filed by Sanders contend that Lampley has a history of violence.
In the court papers, she goes on to say: "I am terrified that he will harm me unless he is restrained."
