Lima547: The summit of Ben Nevis is not a place you want to be on your own with a map and compass, and the skill set to use them. In bad weather the summit is treacherous , and if there's snow or mist, you can find yourself walking towards the edge of the North face, avoid if at all possible.
You can ask others but you'll be better off with someone else.

I already did Scafell Pike with an experienced friend guiding us. Do you think I can do Ben Nevis only following the path and asking people passing by? Thanks.

yes you can its not that difficult, the only thing to take care of is at the top it can get really misty and you can get lost up there, so my advice take a map and a compass and you will be fine
