*IF YOU HAVE A DOG WHOSE BREED IS AFFECTED BY BSL, UPLOAD A VIDEO OF YOUR DOG AND POST IT AS A VIDEO RESPONSE. HOPEFULLY WE CAN ELIMINATE SOME OF THE STEREOTYPES THESE DOGS FACE*

Breed Specific Legislation are laws made to restrict the ownerships of certain dogs. The breeds are the ones commonly depicted in the media as "aggressive," although, as many of you know, the media focuses only on what will get attention. Once, the media focused on german shepherds, thus, this breed was targeted by BSL. Now, they focus on pitbulls. Many of you know that german shepherds and pitbulls can actually be some of the sweetest dogs. Many more breeds of dogs are being targeted by BSL as well. There is a full list of breeds affected below. You can't judge a dog on how the media depicts them. If you own a dog or know someone who owns one, please share this video with them. It is important to tell people about what BSL does so people won't support it .

BSL does nothing to protect people or dogs. It removes dogs from their families, regardless of whether or not the dog or owner did anything. Many consider BSL to be a violation of Amendment XIV of equal treatment and equal protection. People need to be responsible, the dogs are not the problem but are subject to punishment because some owners are irresponsible. Don't support BSL, stand up for the dogs.

  • Wonderful video! I should show this to my mom, dad, step mom, the list goes on. I'm really the only person in my family who is against BSL. My sister is too, but she wants to have 'mean ass pitbulls.' So she just want them for show. =p

    But again, great video!

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • Thanks for making this video. I'll try to share it with many friends.

  • Thanks!

  • I will admit that in the past I was suspicious of pit bulls and had supported banning them, but after the Michael Vick thing, I've educated myself and my opinion has turned 180 degrees. Thanks to people like you who change the world through education, I realize the BSL is wrong and won't solve any of the problems associated with dog bites and dog fighting. Thank you!

  • thank you for making a BSL video that doesn't just focusing on Pit bulls and Rottweilers but shows some of the other breeds on the list

I have a Malamute and she is a sweetie pie :3 I'll post a video response to this of her pulling my baby nephew in a wagon when he comes over again.

  • This is a awesome video.... Thank you very much.....RAB

  • @AnimalMedia I'm watching this is 2012 and it makes still a whole bunch of sense, We rescued an abused animal and he snaps, we also got a pure bred pit pup who wasn't abused... Any animal abused can snap, the pit doesnt but the collie does. Bless the dogs that have already fallen to these stupid racial ban crap

  • @AnimalMedia If they made pits illegal here I'd either move the hell out of this state or keep them reguardless and shoot anyone who tries to take them

  • EVEN IF PITS WERE ILLEGAL i WOULDN'T GIVE MINE UP!

  • @wishingstarification the only reason more kids go to the ER because of dogs is the fact that most young kids run up to hug a dog and freak it out. It"s usually the kid or owners fault. Not the dogs

  • wait, kill dogs to save kids? that does not sound like a serious solution. kill all of animal A to possibly save 1 of 2 of animal B. please.

  • @JessieAckles You're talking about something different. If the person is dead, there is no need for the ER. Dogs mainly land people in the ER, not the morgue. Dogs send 1,000 people per day to the ER. You can look this up at in google by searching dog bites. The website is dogbitelaw.

The amount of people that drown per day is 9.

My original question was "how many more little children need to go to the ER." The ER isn't the morgue.

  • @Wishingstarification That is NOT true.Look it up.People are killed in car accidents, swimming pools than by dogs. Go and look it up. Don't place the blame on the dogs.If you do a google search of "#1 cause of death of children" many articles and sites say drowning is, and among other things. None say dog attacks.

  • @JessieAckles More children go to the ER because of dog bites than swimming pools. That's a fact. More than 1,000 Americans a day go to the ER because of dogs.

There is a compromise position. Make the owners criminally responsible for their dogs. If their dog kills someone, the owner should get the death penalty.

  • @Wishingstarification There are idiot owners of dogs and exotic pets. There are also RESPONSIBLE OWNERS of dogs and exotic pets.Kids die more in swimming pools than by dogs or exotic pets.
