Oblivion Mods: Resurrection Alpha

This is an Oblivion PC mod that gives you a 75%+ chance (depending on your luck) of living after you get killed. It is in the alpha stages right now so it's REALLY buggy, but it's still cool.

Basically (for anyone who has tried to do this before), it uses a hybrid technique mixing SetEssential and the health threshold methods. Once you get down to a tenth of your health, a message pops up basically saying that you've died and you have a chance to come back.

You can see in the video some of the bugs that are present (like staying as a ghost), but most of them can be fixed in the console. When the mod is activated, your character becomes a demigod race. I have no idea why that happens, but that race is there because I was originally going to have a quest that unlocks immortality. I'm going to remove the race in the first public release.

This is just a preview of the concept, not a trailer or anything. I'm going to be working on this project quite a bit, so it should be done shortly.

Update (4/12/10): I have successfully removed the bug where it makes you a demigod. When I added the race, I just duplicated the imperial race and accidentally changed the wrong one. Now I just have to finish the script. I might end up just adding the demigod race and having that be immortal (where it teleports you to a kind of dreamworld-oblivion when you die and if you escape from it alive, you regain health and get temporary bonuses to all of your attributes).

UPDATE (6/1/10): The reason there has been no progress on this mod is that the BluRay drive (the disc drive) on my laptop isn't working, so Oblivion won't load. I'm hoping it's just a piece of dust covering the lens so I don't have to ship it out to Alienware (or dell, whatever), but I don't know. It's done this before, worked for awhile, then stopped working again. If you have any suggestions, I'm welcoming them.

EDIT (6/7/10): I got my BluRay drive fixed (just something on the lens; thank god), so I'll resume working on this soon.

EDIT (6/7/10): Second edit today! I've worked out most of the bugs that you see in the video (by rewriting half of the script), but that only made more. Now it pops up "You will live" every two seconds and I have no idea why. Still looking over it, so something might pop up. This is probably my last edit until I upload the next video.

@plantleg Idk if there is now, but when I made this I know there wasn't. That's why I started this mod, but my disc drive went out so I couldn't work on it any more, and I lost the esp from what I had done so far.

I had a pretty awesome questline in mind, but I guess it'll never happen now. I'll probably remake it for Skyrim, though.

@TheFXGuy i really think a demigod mod would be good,and not like son of zeus or any of that crap i mean son of zenithar or son of arkay or stuff like that and there would be something near cloud ruler temple that the demigods go to

@ninjablood1234 You can.  You just need to know how (for 360, at least, not sure about ps3). Basically, you can trick the game into thinking an esp file is DLC and it will load it accordingly. I'll check later and PM you with how to do it.
