from whag: Officials with the North American Aerospace Defense Command confirm a plane that violated restricted airspace near Washington, D.C. was escorted to the Frederick Municipal Airport Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration notified NORAD of the violation who then sent two H-65 Dolphin Helicopters from the Coast Guard to intercept the plane, according to U.S. Army Maj. Mike Humphreys with NORAD. Humphreys confirms the plane was a single engine Cessna 172 but said he did not have any information on the pilot's destination. The FAA is heading up the investigation.

  • Interesting how the elite in Washington demand restricted air space etc.for their safety and yet average Americans like those that live on the Mexican border have no security against intrusions in our country. Mexican drug cartel thugs and even Mexican Army cross into our country with impunity. And when we demand security from such illegal foreign incursions we are derided as crackpots. Maybe Washington DC should have the same security as the Mexican border has..................NONE!
