  • Ian is part of England's glory

  • i seen the block heads in 1985 at glastonbury it was one of the best gigs i ever been to . Dury walks on stage and says " you all stoned" a muted response ! . so he walks off and says i'll come back in half an hour when you's are then ! ! . the acid had kicked in then, great gig. excellent musicians, go and listen to some block head stuff its all top draw .

  • @angels77100 well u hav no face

  • too bad that this is your worst song..so bad

  • @pauldegroover Sorry. But you'll have to add a little more to your question in order for me to comprehend what you actually mean.

  • @angels77100 Where you living in a hole?

  • Didn't realise footage existed of KATHR. Google Ian_Dury_kilburns_interview.htm

  • One of my fave songs of his...fanx

  • @angels77100 I think judging all of Ian's music, much less cockney music (he wasn't actually a cockney, strictly speaking) by this snippet of "England's Glory" from the '70s would be like judging the Beatles and all Liverpool music of the 60s by a snippet of "Piggies" or "Rocky Raccoon." This is just one facet of Mr. Dury. Check out the recent compilation "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll" or the YouTube clip of "Quiet" from the Concert for Kampuchea for more reasons why Ian's music endures today.

  • Fucking Hell. This is dreadful. Is this what cockneys called music back in the 1980s? It sounds like a load of drunks wailing in the street after closing time. One word. ''Pathetic''.

  • I only know that some of the Blockheads tunes have a music hall character; Billerickay Dickie, There Ain't halve Been Some Clever Bastards, This Is What We Find...

  • An old friend of mine 'gentleman John Earl' on sax in the background. R.I.P. John.
