Part 1 of 2
Here is a brief experiment on how I was able to heat water directly with HHO! I was able to build a simple shield to allow the HHO to burn continuously under water.

  • can we convert a propane or a natural gas appliance to hho

  • @dominicboisvert Yes, though you have to experiment with providing backpressure with compressed air, or a high velocity fan. Somewhere around 90 to 120 CFM. This method is problematic. OR, you could replace each orfice with a much smaller ofrice size. Natural gas and Propane use large orfices because the molecules are so large. HHO molecules are much smaller. I would start with 10 .017 orfices and 10 LPM if you don't want to use high velocity backpressure.

  • Hi Steve,

I have tried to do the same, but temperature rising stop at +82C (179.6 ºF).

did you had the same? have you boiled water?

  • @raitsbebris Yes, I have reached over 200 F, which reached a rolling, violent boil. Sorry to get back to you so late, your message was marked as spam for some reason, and I just got it.

You should use a .030 MIG torch tip and greater than 4LPM HHO.

Let me know how it goes.

  • What are the bubbles coming from the flame area? I thought HHO burns completely and returns to H2O with no residual...

  • I tested the gas, and it is inert. It is not excess HHO because it doesn't burn or react. The only think I can think of is that it is steam from the water boiling at the point of the flame.

  • put that hho flame against a catalyst metal or ceramic and see if its true HHO can be produced with heat ... this is what I ve been wanting to do for some time ... they say hho will reach 10000 deg and the process only requires 2000 deg

  • Why call it hho? It is a mixture of H2 and O2 (or 2H2 + O2 to be pedantic). What is the point in wasting 20% of input energy through electrolysis to waste yet more recombining the ingredients through combustion?

  • friend very very nice job, ok lets put this to work, what about heating a swimming pool water with a chain of hho systems like this...if so , what kind of hho systems ( how may plates etc ) to do this, i am sure there is a way to do it with a swimming pool, the water go out and comeback with a good 75 78 temp , also we have a solar system installed , in order to help warming the water..my target is to stop using diesel heaters..any comments ?

  • it's like welding underwater..

  • we need to make this to heat houses with water heater Thanks!!
