Midnight is probably the best 3.5 Setting out there. I played it for so long and I'm still not tired of them.

The same sort of Fantasy genre as Midnight and Nick Perumovs books is my favorite!! It´s awesome!!

This is out of print but you can get some copies online. I recommend Noble Knight. It's still really cheap...

While I was fascinated by this concept at first ... it is, as Kurt said, a case of Sauron won. Boom. Game over. The bad guys won and that is the end of it.
The only fantasy game as depressing as post-apocalyptic.

It is my favourite Setting for 3.5 rules, it's a pity Fantasy Flight abandoned it.
But i always thinked it deserved a system of it's own.

Its a different Grimness... In DS you can work with some of the Dragon Kings against the others OR against the others. In Midnight, you are facing a major, mostly unified evil.
Therein, for me, is the difference between the two.
