This was our first comp movie ever. Shot at the Escalade Gym (Kennesaw, GA) in December 2002. We were on the road with fellow Canadians Thomasina Pidgeon and a bearded strong dude. Thomasina decided to compete so we hop along and shot this comp. The footage is a bit dark as I didn't know yet not to rely on the LCD screen for exposure. But overall I still like this movie. It features many of the strong climbers from the East : James Litz, Cooper Roberts, Joel Brady, Matt Bosley and Andrew Trailer (who won that comp). Andrew was crushing that final problem and would have done it if he had thought of using a good crimp on the tufa.
For the record, Joel Brady did the move after the comp but that little kid had nothing to do with it. I just thought it would be funny editing the movie making people believe so.
