@Eric2827 I can tell you from experience that these fish are not, usually, found during the year in McGee Creek. You'll see 'em during the seasonal Spring and Fall runs, and that's about it.

I think most of us fish for spawners from time to time for the fun of it, but I'd have to disagree with the video description of "challenging fly fishing." These Cutties will hold over their redds even with alot of disturbance going on around them, as can be seen with these steeple-slap-casts hitting the water all around them.

Im not sure why everyone is bashing them for bed fishing... Fish on beds do not eat or are not willing to eat very readily. As you can see, the larger of the fish moved about 2 feet to the side to take the fly, a fish in the act of spawning would never do that. These are prespawn or postspawn fish that are staging in the creek. As long as they are released, theres nothing wrong with that.

No doubt there could be some bigger fish here and there.. but unlikely you'll see fish of that caliber in the numbers you see in this video. This was spawning season... I can tell by the lack of leaves on the trees and grass....And they say it's in the early spring. This was likely near the opener Also, you can see the fish have spawn colors. It's not illegal (yet) to target trout in spawning beds in this stream but it should be. Regardless they are good fish and they did great.
this was tough to watch. i am not sure what was worse. the terrible music or watching these guys tromp around in spawning beds harassing spawning fish.

You said Angler licensing fees pay for spawners... Which is wrong. Angler licensing fees pay for planters. Most spawners are wild fish, except for a few holdovers. By the way, I don't see any difference in the words??? Before telling me to use proper grammar; make sure I'm not using proper grammar in the first place.
