60's, way be4 Sam the Sham. Nobody lipped on Ed Sullivan and after the Beatles it was uncool to lip synch. Yes I was there. You are implying an incorrect scenario. Lip synching was "out" post Beatles. American Banstand peaked before the Beatles, limping along for 20 yrs. I'm 63. If you are older than I am you are too senile to remember. If you are younger, then you're too young to remember.

@uzpeep That's ridiculous. I could name many examples, starting with American Bandstand. You need to review your "facts" and stop using platitudes like "totally" and ":nobody". I lived through that era---did you? Live singing was the exception, not the rule.
