  • I don't know if someone mentioned before. The trunk does open with the key, when you actuate the lever manually with the key. (that is if you dont want to crawl in through the seats)

I just purchased the kit. Thanks you guys.

  • @jojodcadguy I have the EXACT same problem, anybody??

  • Just bought the trunk kit...will let you know how it works for me.

  • i'm excited i just received my jetta trunk fix kit today. it will be great to finally get into my trunk without going through the backseat

  • Thank you so much! You´ve just saved me so much frustration/time/money. Really appreciate this!

  • do you have the solution to get into a golf mk4 (2002) that has the same problem?

I am in the rear of the golf (inside) removed the 2 screws in the handles and then what??? not sure how to remove the plastic cover to expose the mechanism. at this point the door is still closed and the plastic ocver is right against the car so not sure hot to get to it without breaking the cover. Any tricks to this?
