@TheSeer101 He hooked it because of his lateral move? He was FAMOUS FOR N O T HOOKING IT. As in N. O. T.

IMHO Whether you set up on your left leg, or whether you get there in transition or backswing, you have got to be on your left foot, with your left side separating from your chin before you swing through the ball. Depending on your setup, you may need to drive a lot or drive a little with the hips, or right knee and hip; or left knee, hip and shoulder to get there. Things like your backswing pivot and your plane and your transition, and for some people, an arm-drop - they all need to be doing
-
Mclean is so wrong in this. Hogan did ALL his lateral motion BEFORE he reached transition... then from transition, he just turned as hard as he wanted, which is EXACTLY what he said he did in the book.

@robinsongolfacademy This is nothing but conjecture; it's ridiculous.
The world's best golfers all swing the club differently and no single way of doing so is *correct* - If it was everybody would be doing it! If a student learns S&T and it doesn't work for them they will change it. Simple. Careers will not be ruined by it!
The only people suffering due to S&T are those PGA pros out there who milk their students each lesson, teaching them very little so that they keep coming back.

@senorchipotle Mike and Andy have ruined the potential careers of many future golfers. If you speak for them you should be ashamed of your self!
-
@senorchipotle Tell them to email me asap. I have some idea's that can help. Hurry up too becuase I will not have access to a computer for 7 days. I will be in Thialand and you know what I will be doing there;)

@TheSeer101 ... mike and andy would like a word with you.

Hogan said, Hogan said.... F**k you!

I have to laugh, this is all wrong. Back in those days they were trying to do a S&T swing but never got it right. Hogan was good but if he understood S&T he would have been far better. He was dead wrong with his lateral move. That is why he hooked it people. We are so much more evolved these day why look at the old swings. We have got the only true method which is S&T.

Any keys for initiating this hip slide and turning sequence into the golf ball? Any mental keys or distinct little body movements that help to promote it consistently?
