@GarlandDrest Sure, I can understand that. It's interesting to me though. One can't "play what they feel" in a certain genre if they aren't a true listener. So many players in my high school tell me they won't transcribe a Roy Eldridge solo because that would be stealing. In a way, that's saying, "I won't learn the theory of relativity, I'll make up my own first."
