I remember seeing that live. Worst loss of Berube's career and he didn't lose too many bouts. Byers was a solid fighter.

I read the book "goon" and the author said berube almost quit after being roundly beaten by byers and miller...Don't know if this is true but this could've been that game.

@reg5381 ufcenforcer is right. Cam Neely Ko'd Byers in Cam's first B's practice. Miller actually worked with Byers, teaching him the uppercut. LB hit harder than Jay, but Miller had better handspeed, stamina, & a better chin. If LB wasn't such a boozebag, he'd have lasted 6 more years.

@ufcenforcer miller was strong and would grab on and push his punches.byers knew how to punch hard and fast.by looking at these fights on u tube byers rarely lost.
-
@reg5381 SORRY, EVEN LB KNOWS MILLER WOULD HAVE KICKED HIS ASS!
-
Great fight. Berube didn't even know what his own name was after that was over.
-
byers was the real enforcer for the bruins.he would have clobbered jay miller.

change your lettuce, change your life, right LB?
-

LB had a filthy uppercut. Probably the chief's worst loss of his career. Didn't look happy with himself.
