David Gomez demonstrates his virtuosity on timbales and bata drums with an emphasis on independence. NEW www.congahead.com is back and great content added almost daily
He forgets to mention that he first studied in New York with Felix Sanabria who refered him to my godfather in Cuba who introduced him to various bata masters in Cuba. Also introduced him to all the top young drummers in NY at the time, Ramin,Mikel,Nick,Camilo,Jblak,Bembesito.
I used to to play around on the timbales like this all day and people would call me a fool. This guy is a master. Sooo good!
