before Deal Or No Deal, the big money was won by picking a box on The New Treasure Hunt. One box was selected from among 30, the top prize in one box was $25,000. Here's a montage of clips of some contestsants finding out they had selected the right box.

  • Imagine if Geoff were to host "The Price is Right" for a day and the contestant playing "Punch-A-Bunch" picks the $25,000 card, it'd be DEJA VU all over.

  • This was when winning $25,000 was a big thing back in the '70s,not this million dollar winning obsession that Deal or No Deal is doing now. I remember when CBN network, Pat Robertson's Virginia Beach, Va. cable network aired those old 1973-1976 and 1981 shows in mid-1984. Something that GSN does now. All of those Treasure Hunt shows were fun, colorful with the boxes, and classic!

  • Too bad no one has full episode of those $25,000 wins.

  • The last 25K winner shown debunked the argument against male contestants; she must've worked out a lot (threw Geoff like a ball.)

  • @Rlotpir1972 Yes it would...lol

  • Geoff Edwards was one of the best. I've always wondered why he was passed over for some of the top game shows. He's 79 years old now - but still in great shape. They should bring him back for old time's sake. His draw would be phenomenal.

  • @ 0:32 they are gonna blow the roof off this joint.

  • I see your statement & raise you this....

Have Betty White do the Grand Game & when she reveals the product for $10,000, she tells the audience, "On the count of 3, 1-2-3!" & the Curly siren goes off.

  • @ 0.33 they are gonna blown the roof off this joint.

  • @ 0.24 cue the band please.

  • Two lives down, 7 to go.

  • As a kid growing up in the 70's, I always loved this game show. The different box size colors and sizes were mysterious to me. I wondered what was in them and wanted to root through them
