The April Spotlight on Annuities discusses New York Life Insurance Company says that, last year, it sold 64 percent of its $1.9 billion in fixed immediate annuity sales to women; and the fact that total annuity sales in banks were 44 percent lower in January 2010 than the year previous — the most significant decline in a decade.
