Olando Played for Nassau Community College in 2009. he played in six games and registered 32 tackles, including 28 solo. He helped Nassau to an 8-2 record in 2009 for coach Jermaine Miles.
In 2010 he played for Syracuse University where he Played in all 13 games. At Akron he recorded a pair of solo tackles. Against Maine, he recorded four tackles. Against Colgate, had four tackles, including three solo stops. At Cincinnatti, had three solo tackles. At Rutgers, Connecticut and at Kansas State in the Pinstripe Bowl, he continued to display his superb playing ability.
In 2011, his senior year, he played in only 7 games due to an injury and still recorded over 17 tackles. A number of those were solo tackles. Against Wake Forest, made three solo tackles, Against West Virginia, made three tackles, including two solo tackles, Against South Florida, had one solo tackle, three total tackles, and a pass break-up, At Cincinnati, made three solo tackles, At Pittsburgh, made three tackles, including two solo tackles, and a sack for a loss of nine yards.
