This may not be what anyone was expecting to hear come about from this song....but about the time this had just come out, during my childhood, I remember laying in my bedroom petting my dog when it came on and crying....and just the other day when she passed away in my arms I thought of this song and just listened to it for the first time since then

About nine years ago, my then-girlfriend dedicated this song to me over the radio. I'd never heard it before; and all I could do was sit there in my car, crying my eyes out. To this day, every time I hear it, I'm back in that car--bawling like a baby, hopelessly in love with that girl who had my number from day one. We didn't work out; but I still think of her often, and hope every day that she found the happiness she deserves. Thank you for such a beautiful song, and for my memories...
