@Vinemaple late reply, but the water is there because on alpha the tram went SW-Darnassus. :D

Yes... clearly I should have looked at my Eastern Kingdoms map a little harder! There is a LOT of water along a direct line from SW to IF...

@Vinemaple Actually, now with flying in Azeroth since Cata released, if you fly directly north from SW towards IF there is a small section of the sea that creates a small inlet bay. You actually can't fly over it without getting the fatigue debuff. That's what I'm guessing is the water part of the tram.

@Vinemaple there actually is water there is cataclysm for some reason blizzard never showed it but if you got past there a lot a giant sea monster will appear "forgot what it was" was about 1 1/2 year ago i saw it so:P

What is the Deeprun Tram Aquarium supposed to be, anyway? There's no body of water between Stormwind and Ironforge. And there's a sunken ship in there...
I'm more thinking in terms of lore and geography than gameplay here.

@RagingHardOne sure, you can also grow through the wall, not just with a pet. I also been there with my char few times.
