If your Floyd Rose arm has a loose fit in the tremolo system and it's tightened all the way down then this is a fix for you, all you do is take a spring from a mechanical pencil and drop it down into the barrel and tighten your arm down on top of it

*Update*
I bought a new arm off of eBay, and it came with a new barrel too (you cant get the barrel seperately) so i installed it, and it works a lot better, no need to use a spring, and remove it everytime you're done playing. Here is where i bought it from:

  • Not really a fix. Just a workaround.

  • @inefficient a fix is a workaround...this will work as long as you dont put a spring too big in the barrel so yes, it is a fix

  • @bedofrazors94 You haven't returned the arm to it's original functionality is the point I'm making. You need to keep a spring whenever you go anywhere with the guitar so that you can pop it in before the arm.

  • @inefficient no, actually as a matter of fact, I got a new arm because I put the wrong spring in one day that was too big and it was over tightened so it completely stripped the arm so I had to buy a new one. But why complain if it works? It's not my fault if you cant keep up with a spring.

  • @bedofrazors94 You put the wrong spring in and stripped all the threads? Surely you're the one that needs help keeping up with a spring...

  • @inefficient No, I had the spring where I had always kept it, I just had an uncut spring beside it and didn't notice what one I was grabbing. I can keep up with a spring just fine. By the way, I have better things to do than argue with someone who, from the way you are persistent with arguing with me, I imagine is a 13-15 year old that has nothing better to do than stay on the internet all day and argue with people you don't know.
