After the females in the pride successfully killed and have taken down a full grown Cape Buffalo, the male lion comes in to take his share of the kill! This was filmed at Mombo Camp in Botswana, Africa 2007

@velocikiller13 People usually refer to the fact that the males take the food first and leave whatever he doesnt eat for the females as some kind of proof that male lions are lazy and ignorant. The truth is, the males SOLE function is to ensure the safety of the pride, including his baby cubs. Thats why most of the time the females have no problem letting him do this, and why they seem "lazy" and are always resting. They need to ready to fight to the death at any moment.

You guys. Note that he's not chasing the females away. He could be tolerant of the lionesses sharing with him. Usually, male lions take the carcass for themselves.
