Gotta love that last stop.

"Idk, how about every frickin' stop sign in the universe?" Lol

In the UK, they teach that in an emergency stop situation, you worry about changing down after you have stopped - something I had to knock the hell out of me as I used to change down without thinking. They stipulate that you leave it in gear so as to reduce the chance of locking the rear wheel - which is rubbish, IMHO. If you are in a high gear and slowing fast, that engine isn't going to help prevent the rear wheel locking up.

Hey crash u should become an actor. Ur good in front of the camera

thank you cap. crash yes sir

I've commented on your videos before and totally forgot to state the obvious. Your videos are literally the best of all the training videos I've seen online. The editing is great, the presentation is very entertaining - better than all videos (motorcycle related or not)

Cpt you are a very smart guy and everyone appreciates the info but seriously man why the camo? Isn't the idea to be seen while riding? Unless of course you are a master ninja that darts between cars and tales of you are told around the camp fire!

At night I wear an Icon Mil Spec Vest. During the day? That RED helmet sticks out nicely for me. I had a young man the other day say "I knew it was you a mile away 'cause of that red helmet--WOW!"
How come no one worries about the black motorcycles?

Hey Crash, love the vids and the instruction. Just took my MSF course though, and they were adamant (in California) that, because of the possibility of causing a high-side at speed, if the rear wheel locks it should remain locked until the bike has stopped moving. Thoughts? Thanks, and keep making vids!

The MSF holds to the "Keep it locked" school of thought--there's another school out there that holds to "a locked wheel is a potential highside--no matter the speed" and teach releasing it if the bikes in line. I was a "keep it locked" guy until talking with some of the folks in charge of curriculum at Idaho STAR and, well, now I've changed my mind! (When you realize that a locked rear can highside you at 5 or 10 mph? Suddenly releasing it if you're in line makes better sense.
