Short Cuts is a film course for 10 to 13 year olds by the Cambridgeshire Film Consortium. The course ran during June and July 2011. Participants were trained in using cameras, interviewing skills, and editing with Final Cut Pro. They then used these skills to shoot and edit this very film!
The Swift Tower is about Logan's Meadow Nature Reserve's brand new Swift Tower. It is both an art installation, and a functional swift conservation tower.
More info on Logan's Meadow Nature Reserve can be found here: lnr.cambridge.gov.uk/reserves/logans_meadow/default.asp
This documentary gives an insight to the creation of the tower, and informs of the plight of swifts, and what we can do about it.
Short Cuts was supported by Cambridge Sustainable City
