After the Victorian "Black Saturday" bushfires of 2009, Flowerdale was one of the most devastated communities. Being almost destroyed didn't stop them plucking up some serious country spirit and rebuilding themselves.
The people of Flowerdale, with the help of Pete Williams and his friends, decided "we are the they" and by calling in every favor and pulling out every stop they could, began to return the town to what it once was rather than waiting for official assistance.
In this moving talk, Pete shows us how we can all be heroes.
"He hitched down because he had no money and nothing to offer …other than his arms and legs and his willingness to work 18 hours a day for 3 months straight." - incredible.

I am breathless and speechless. You are and everyone who was "Flowerdale" exemplars to us all for the power and the critical importance of "community". Bravo a thousand times.
