I thought you'd like a look at this beautifully restored 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS. It's powered by the famous 409 and all that power is channeled through a four-speed manual trans. This thing should really fly. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!

MacLeod's description:

Genre: Blues
Length: 3:15
Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Kit, Organ, EP
Tempo: 90

With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

  • I had the true pleasure of owning 15 old Chevys, two of which were the best of the best. (1) 1961 Super Sport (original) 409 Roman Red, restored from the body up (not frame off) but, I built the engine and 4 spd my self. The engine was blue- printed and balanced, easily ran 12.0-11.9 in a quater mile. I had a single 4 and a 2X4 set up that I used. NEVER got beat by a Ford. The other was a 1967 SS427 Marina Blue 425hp, had it topped at 136 mph (ON RADAR) top end, thus the "ole Chevy guy".

  • @olechevyguy I can see why you love Chevy's, you sure had a couple of the greats. Thanks for taking a look at this one!

  • Yeah, them Beach Boys sure knew what they were talking about! And this one looks especially hot in Ember Red! Whoever did the restoration on this baby did a fabulous job and I hope it finds a good home. Thanks for showing it to us!

  • @iswc27 It really is a beauty, thanks for checking it out!
