Well I guess that's what I meant by spirit. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for that...You too Inadapto88, and Blueguitar72. I appreciate your comments.
Regarding a closer look at the fingering: I got a new guitar recently and was thinking of uploading a little demo of it...Maybe I should use this song for that?
Not sure it'll help much though, 'cause I don't really know what I'm doing when I play it. LOL!

By far the best cover I've ever heard of this. My baby girl is bopping along to it - guess she thinks so too!

I was thankful enough to read your very nice comment, Fairybaby,...but to hear that your little'un likes it as well, has simply made my day!...Thanks very much for letting me know that.

I keep coming back to your version of Shake It and Break It. You have not only captured the song (easy) but its spirit (out of reach for most of us). Thanks
A question however (and thanks for the technical info - it is indeed played in F and not in C with capo to the fifth as I worked it out), on the second beat does your thumb play the low base note rather than the second higher bass note to give that 2/4 feeling? I'm waiting for the new version too.

@kjmorris123
Thank you very much, KJ, that's a great compliment.
RE: The bass line: I think in general, it's the low note on the 2nd beat. But y'know, I'm not sure there's a rigid bass note structure in the way I play this song...I really just try to let my fingers (and thumb) follow my voice rather than the other way round. It's quite hard to explain, but it seems the moment I become conscious of what my fingers are doing, or try to play it in too regular a style, it sounds stilted somehow.
