I can't imagine cleaning guinea pig cage only ONCE A WEEK! We clean every day. We use cloth on the bottom (fleece and towels). Just roll up the material, take outside to shake out (into the garden or trash), and put into a bag. Wash in hot water when you have enough for a full load. Wipe out cage with vinegar and water, and put in new cloth. Less than a 5 minute job. Wash cups and water bottle. Maybe another 5 min. Feed FRESH daily. Play with the piggie daily. Need care. WONDERFUL pets.

everything about this video is wrong: guinea pigs need daily cleaning and are absolutely attention demanding. guinea pigs are more work than cats.

Adopt DO NOT BUY, ORR BREED. You can save a little ones life by going to the shelter, or you could re-home of craigslist, but PLEASE don't go to an animal store and buy. The ones at adoption centers and craigslist need more help than the ones in your local pet store!!
