@ginnerthetosser: Although the Vulcan is indeed a unique, magnificent aircraft, the F-104 Starfighter made a similar 'howl' for the same reason. There are several examples posted on YT.

hey great vid just a quick question do u know if the vulcan is the only aircraft in the world to make that great howl when they turn her engines to full throttle? if u can awanser this it would be great thanks

I personally have no knowledge of any other aircraft that makes this sound.Apparently it occurs around 80% thrust level as the air reverberates in the intakes.I like to think The mighty Vulcan is "Unique"!
