  • Her name is Jeanette not Justine.

  • Recorded under both names.

  • This Lady can really get it together. I love her singing and I love the way she looks. Her real name is Jeanette not Justine. But other than that all the music is beautiful. I love her sound what a pretty voice and smooth grooves. I just love this old smooth music. Man I'll tell you those were the days for good soul music.

  • How come with such a voice, she didn't go on to be more well known I'll never know?

  • I would surely like to have a picture of you now!

  • The arrangement is loverly Grew up on this kind of music!

  • I know that's right! I just do not like American Idol. It is so fake and coached.. A REAL singer can JUST DO IT, and needs little to no practice. Look at Evelyn King, discovered while cleaning the recording studio , and as you said, Bill Withers and a host of others who can sing their butts off and had no one voting them off.

  • Does anyone know if she is still alive?

  • everlasting sound, pure merveille!!! many thanx to share black music memory all over the world! mille mercis from France! da Engine # 54

  • She was known as Justine 'Baby' Washington, back in the day.

  • Greystone, 20 Grand, AND the Arcadia for skating....simple pleasures....great memories...

  • The Grove in Castle Shannon played this great tune. Love it.

  • White kids were deaf then. Beatles my ass. She made me cry back then b/c she's sung so beautiful about sad love. What happened to the real music, the beautiful stuff? Glad I was born then. Rap sucks.

  • @standingbeark You are so right. There were Black kids singing on playgrounds that could sing their butts off back then. There was no American Idol.. our kids still aren't represented on that show either. They found Bill Withers singing in a bus station bathroom he was cleaning.I think the Brits did get "us".
